PINNED! is a marketplace for race and event photography. Photographers and event organisers upload the images captured on the day, and participants find and buy their own photos by entering their bib number.
The commercial model is deliberately friction-free for organisers. There is no upfront cost and no licence fee. Organisers list an event, photos are made available to participants, and revenue is shared on a commission basis with payouts handled automatically by the platform.
Event photography has traditionally been a fragmented, manual business. Photos end up scattered across social albums, shared drive links and gallery sites that are slow to load and awkward to buy from. Organisers rarely see any revenue from images taken at their own events, and participants often give up before finding themselves. The brief was to solve all three sides of that problem at once.
The technical bar was set by experience. An earlier iteration of the concept had proved the demand but exposed the limits of what was available at the time. PINNED! was built from the ground up to remove that ceiling.
The result is a marketplace where every part of the commercial cycle runs automatically, from a participant searching their bib number through to an organiser receiving their remittance advice.
PINNED! replaces a manual, fragmented process with a platform that runs itself. A participant can find and buy their photos in under a minute on a phone at the finish line. An organiser can list an event, watch sales come in and receive a payout with remittance advice, without a single message being exchanged.
