Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before getting in touch

Pricing, timescales and how a project works, for businesses in Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and across the rest of the UK. If your question is not covered here, just ask.

How much does a website cost?+

Foundation starts at £199, a one-off cost for a focused, professional site. Advanced starts at £499, with more pages and tools like online booking and email sign-ups. Pro is fully bespoke, so we start with a conversation and come back with a tailored quote rather than a fixed price.

How long does a website take to build?+

Foundation typically takes around five working days once we have your content. Advanced typically takes two to three weeks, depending on scope and how quickly content and feedback come back. Pro timescales are agreed during the planning phase, since every build is different.

Which areas do you cover?+

Blue10Design is based in Essex, and most clients are in Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire. We also work remotely with businesses across the rest of the UK, so location is rarely a barrier.

Which tier is right for my business?+

Foundation suits a new or small business, sole trader or service that needs a fast, trustworthy site online. Advanced suits a growing business that wants online booking, email sign-ups and content it can manage itself. Pro suits a business that needs logins, payments, an admin dashboard or another bespoke tool beyond a standard website.

What happens once my site is live?+

Every project follows the same four stages: discovery, design, build, then launch and support. After launch we stay on hand for changes, questions and ongoing technical support, whatever tier the site was built on.

Can I start on a lower tier and upgrade later?+

Yes. Every tier is built on the same underlying architecture, so moving from Foundation into Advanced, or from Advanced into a bespoke Pro build, extends the existing site rather than requiring a rebuild.

Do I need to provide the content and images myself?+

You provide the core details about your business or service, and we handle the writing, structure and layout so the site reads well and looks professional. The more source material and photography you can share, the closer the first draft will be to what you have in mind.

How long does a Foundation build take?+

Typically around five working days once we have your content and any brand assets, though this can vary depending on how quickly feedback comes back during revisions.

Can I add more pages later?+

Yes. Foundation is built on the same underlying structure as Advanced, so extra pages or features can be added afterwards rather than requiring a full rebuild.

Do I need to provide the content?+

You provide the core details about your business or service, and we handle the writing, structure and layout so the site reads well and looks professional.

Advanced, answered

View Advanced
How long does an Advanced build take?+

Typically two to three weeks, depending on the number of pages, how quickly content is provided, and how many rounds of feedback are needed.

Can I add online payments or a shop later?+

Yes. If your needs grow beyond bookings and enquiries into payments or an online shop, that moves into Pro, and the existing Advanced site can be extended rather than rebuilt.

Which booking and email marketing tools do you use?+

We will recommend tools that suit your budget and how you already work, then connect them cleanly into your new site.

Pro, answered

Why isn't there a fixed price for Pro?+

Bespoke features vary hugely in scope, a client login area is a very different project to a full booking and payments platform, so we always start with a conversation to understand what you actually need.

How does the quote process work?+

We start with a short discovery call, put together a written scope of work with a fixed or staged price, and only start building once you are happy with it.

Do you offer ongoing support after launch?+

Yes, Pro projects typically include an ongoing support and maintenance plan, so you always have someone to call when something needs changing.
